I really like my pen input but for some reason, no matter how many times I calibrate or which method I use to recalibrate, it still won't work right in the lower left corner of my screen. It really isn't my start orb that it doesn't like because, if I rotate my screen, it works fine in the other corner. Hmm. I'd hate to have to RMA already.

have you found a solution to this problem yet? i also have the same problem and this is the second machine that HP has sent me.
ReplyDeleteI had the same problem on my first one but the reason why i had it exchanged was because the hard drive crashed within the first 6 hours of playing with it.
My new machine has the same problem but it seams to be the whole left side of the screen and because of it i can't calibrate it right making the pen useless
I've been searching through forums but you seem to be the only one who has posted something about it, have you found any type of solution?
Thanks,
-Joey
I called HP today and they were going to repair my problem. They suggested that I resinstall windows and I politely asked them to just repair it without forcing me to reinstall. They agreed to send me the shipping box and shipping label so that I could ship it to them for repair. After I got off the phone, I decided to just do a factory restore since I know they will return it to me with the factory default hard drive image. Once it was restored, it worked just fine! I was amazed. Normally, support will always suggest a factory restore and it is just a waste of time but this time it fixed my problem. I think it may have been due to some of the screen rotation and homebrew surface computer stuff that I was installing.
ReplyDeleteBTW, when I was talking with HP support, they had me upgrade to the newest BIOS F16 and I also installed the newest HP Wacom Tablet drivers; neither fixed it until I did the factory restore.
I just called costco, HP is closed. I asked costco to contact HP in the morning and cancel the repair ticket.
what homebrew surface programs?? looking to play with some on my tm2t
